Engineering with purpose
At GML Trading, our mission reaches far beyond delivering high-performance equipment and keeping operations running. We believe true success is measured not only in productivity, but in the lasting value we create for people and the places we work. That’s why we invest in local skills, strong communities, and sustainable solutions that endure well beyond the project timeline.
Our Commitment
Local empowerment: Hire, train, and develop in‑country teams.
Sustainability: Practical solutions that reduce waste and environmental impact.
Ethical operations: Transparency, fairness, and integrity in every relationship.
Corporate responsibility isn’t an afterthought — it’s who we are. By partnering with GML Trading, our clients help build stronger, more resilient communities.
Investing in Communities
Since 2008 we’ve built long‑term partnerships in Angola — modernising logistics, growing skills, and shortening lead times with local capacity. Highlights include:
Training national teams in procurement and technical services to international standards.
Upgrading three warehouses — two in Luanda and one in Cabinda — to support reliable MRO operations.
Establishing in‑country gasket manufacturing with Flexitallic, with Angolan staff trained to Flexitallic standards.
The E4 Initiative
Empowerment • Enterprise • Ecology • Education
GML funds and delivers community projects in Angola under the E4 banner, developed in partnership with Pioneers of the Wirral. This long-term programme focuses on four key pillars — Empowerment, Enterprise, Ecology, and Education — to address both immediate needs and lasting development goals. Through E4, we combine financial investment, practical engineering expertise, and strong local partnerships to implement projects that make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

Ongoing Charitable Support
Alongside our E4 community development programmes, GML Trading is proud to maintain a long-standing partnership with Open Doors UK, providing essential resources and ongoing assistance to vulnerable children in Angola. Our support focuses on two major orphanages — one for boys and one for girls — ensuring they have consistent access to nutritious food, clean drinking water, and safe, comfortable living conditions.
We fund and supply a wide range of needs: from internet access that helps young people stay connected and continue their education, to kitchen equipment that enables the preparation of healthy meals at scale. We also provide entertainment resources to enrich daily life, helping to create a sense of normality and joy in what can be challenging circumstances.
This is not a one-off donation, but a sustained commitment that reflects our belief in supporting both the immediate needs and long-term wellbeing of children in care. By partnering with trusted local organisations and leveraging our own in-country logistics, we ensure that every contribution — whether it’s a shipment of essential goods or the funding of monthly food supplies — directly benefits those who need it most.
For us, corporate responsibility is about action as much as intention. Our ongoing work with Open Doors UK is one way we ensure that business success goes hand-in-hand with real social progress, helping to give the next generation in Angola the safety, opportunity, and hope they deserve
